The E-flite UMX Turbo Timber Evolution is the ultra-micro version of the successful Turbo Timber 1.5m that has smooth handling, is easy to fly, has superb Short Take Off and Landing (STOL) capabilities and is now small enough to fly nearly anywhere! Now featuring a 2S and 3S LiPo-compatible power system you can get a boost in capability and power. Very handy for those who have the highly popular 300mAh 3S batteries. You can perform a range of different aerobatics in your E-flite UMX Turbo Timber Evolution including snaps, spins inverted flight, knife edge plus more. Improved STOL and slow flight performance are achieved with functional oversized flaps and you have the option of using leading-edge slats if you so desire. Like its predecessors, the E-flite UMX Turbo Timber Evolution is fitted with oversized tundra-style tyres enabling you to land and take off on the grass and other rough and bumpy surfaces. Helping this process is the landing gear design that ensures the fairings stay secured to the fuselage.The control unit/flight controller on the E-flite UMX Turbo Timber Evolution is equipped with a Spektrum ESC and receiver that will give the pilot real-time telemetry data such as remaining flight battery voltage when you have compatible Spektrum Airware installed on suitable transmitters. These include the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX14, iX20 and others. To assist you in flight the E-flite UMX Turbo Timber Evolution is also equipped with the optional-use SAFE Select and exclusive Spektrum AS3X technologies. SAFE Select is an envelope protection option that you can engage with the flick of a switch that offers the pilot automatic self-levelling if it senses you have got into trouble, and, pitch and bank angle limits. If you feel confident enough to fly without SAFE Select it can be turned off with the switch of a button. AS3X is a bit more subtle and works behind the scenes making hundreds of minor adjustments to smooth out your flight if it is affected by turbulence and wind plus it also gives you a locked-in sensation that makes you feel like you are flying a much bigger RC plane.With all these features on the E-flite UMX Turbo Timber Evolution and the ultra-micro lightweight design, you can really test the limits of its STOL capabilities. Take off or land in less distance than any other similar class model. If you’re a novice who has some flying experience then you can fly the E-flite UMX Turbo Timber Evolution with ease in large backyards, sports fields or small parks. If you’re experienced, you can fly indoors in small spaces like gyms or halls. You have the option of taking off and landing on water if you install the optional floats (EFLUA1190) which are sold separately.
