This pharmaceutical grade Charcoal Powder Activated B.P.C. is made simply from coconut shells with no artificial additives, ingredients or fillers of any kind. It is steam purified which removes any toxins and produces pure activated carbon also known as medical charcoal, activated carbon or activated charcoal. This really fine powder (5-10 microns) is extremely absorbent and acts somewhat like a sponge when added to products and then placed on the skin where it collects many times it’s own weight in unwanted oils or dirt allowing these to be removed. To detoxify skin the following suggestions may be helpful: Charcoal Facial Scrub: Mix 80g sugar with 20ml oil (We prefer Apricot Kernel Oil but any light oil is fine) and 2.5g activated charcoal. Massage gently onto wet skin then wipe off with a warm, damp face cloth. Charcoal & Aloe cleansing mask: Mix aloe gel with activated charcoal to form a paste. A tiny drop of essential oil can be added if liked, tea tree is a good option. massage gently onto the face and leave for approx 10 minutes. Wipe gently away with a warm face cloth. Adding a small amount of Charcoal Powder Activated B.P.C. to cold process and melt and pour soaps, gives a really black colour.
